4 December 2019: Sustainable Finance Workshop: An EU taxonomy in practice – Making the Transition Work
Afore Consulting organised the third Sustainable Finance Workshop: An EU taxonomy in practice on 4 December 2019. This high level workshop focused on the best ways of incorporating the element of the transition in the upcoming taxonomy and its impact for the financial industry and broader practice. This workshop coincided with the trilogues on the Taxonomy Regulation. The event also was an opportunity to discuss the draft taxonomy before the publication of the final Technical Report on the climate change mitigation and adaptation in December 2019.
Speakers included several members of the Technical Expert Group and amongst others:
- Eila Kreivi, Director of Capital Markets, European Investment Bank;
- Martin Hojsík MEP, the Shadow Rapporteur on the Taxonomy Regulation;
- Charlotte Gardes, Deputy Head of the Financial Stability, Accounting Standards and Corporate Governance Unit, The French Ministry for the Economy and Finance;
- Tom Howes, Deputy Head of Economic analysis and Financial instruments Unit, DG ENER, European Commission;
- Nathan Fabian, the Rapporteur of the Taxonomy Subgroup Chief Responsible Investment Officer, UN Principles for Responsible Investment.
