5th Annual Conference on FinTech and Regulation
The Fifth Annual Afore Consulting Conference on FinTech and Regulation took place as an online event between 2 and 4 February 2021.
The 2021 conference focused on the themes of:
- The challenges around digital identification and on-boarding
- The developments towards European Financial Data Spaces
- Digital operational resilience
- The use of technology in Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
- Interrelations between new technologies and financial services
- The introduction of a digital euro
- Crypto-assets and international regulation
The 2021 line-up of speakers included Mairead McGuinness, European Commissioner for Financial Services and the three ESA Chairs: José Manuel Campa, Chairman of the EBA, Steven Maijoor, Chairman of the ESMA and Gabriel Bernardino, Chairman of the EIOPA.
From the European Parliament we had Stasys Jakeliunas, MEP, Eero Heinalouma, MEP and Ondrej Kovarik, MEP.
