4th Annual Conference on Fintech and Regulation
Afore Consulting held its 4th Annual Fintech and Regulation Conference on 3 March 2020. Working closely with the European Commission we identified four main themes for this conference. These were: how to best organise from a regulatory and supervisory standpoint the relationship between supervised entities and third party technology providers; how technology and FinTech can contribute to completing Capital Markets Union; the role of global technology companies in financial services and what the opportunities and threats are arising from an open infrastructure for technology in retail finance.
The 2020 lineup of speakers included –Jose Manuel Campa, Chair of EBA, Steven Maijoor, Chair of ESMA, Carmine Di Noia, Commissioner of CONSOB, Lisa Rabbe, Chief Government and Public Affairs Officer, Moody’s, Sharon Yang, Deputy Assistant Secretary, U.S. Department of the Treasury, Tom Mutton, Director of Fintech at the Bank of England and Steve Purser, Head of Core Operations Department of ENISA, as well as senior participants from the European Commission.
