3rd Annual Conference on ‘Taking Innovation to the next level”

Afore Consulting held the 3rd Annual Conference on ‘Taking Innovation to the next level” on 26th February 2019. The keynote speakers included Valdis Dombrovskis, Vice-President of the European Commission, Christopher Giancarlo, Chairman of the US CFTC, Steven Maijoor, Chair of the European Supervisory and Markets Authority, Gabriel Bernardino, Chair of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority, Joseph Cuschieri, Chief Executive Officer, Malta Financial services Authority and Thomas Lillelund, Chief Executive Officer, AIG Europe S.A.

The 2019 conference was timed to coincide with the findings of the ESAs on the compatibility of the regulatory framework for crypto assets and initial coin offerings. The speakers explored key aspects in the policy debate around crypto-assets and crowdfunding, Europe’s willingness to innovate, data in the modern economy, supervisory challenges of cyber-security and cyber-resilience and the fitness of the regulatory framework for artificial intelligence.
